Properties: anti-rheumatic, intestinal soothing, hypocholesterolemiant, laxative, hepatic draining.

Dermatological properties: very rich in vitamin E.

Recommendations: virgin carthame oil is the richest vegetable oil in polyunsaturated acids with 74 % of linolenic acid and 20 % of oleic acid. It regulates dry and very dry skins. Carthame oil also has a beneficial role on the skin and the intestinal mucous membrane, as well as in the prevention of the rheumatisms.

Flavored oil: we find in the stores a lot of flavored vegetable oil, ready for use but sometimes these preparations miss a little of imagination, while it is very easy to make them yourself. Leave free your culinary creativity.

Prepare your flavored oil in small quantities (10 - 20 cl approximately) and keep them in small glass flasks.

Add a drop of essential oil at the same moment and taste your preparation after every drop.

Carthame oil and lemon or orange essential oil for freshs salads or fishes and poultry in a marinade.

Carthame oil and ginger, cumin, clove essential oil to spy on warm or cold dishes.
