Latin name: Citrus Aurantium Bergamia
Origin: Italy
Distilled part: Peel
Botanical family: Rutaceae
Main constituents: Limonene, Linalyl Acetate , Linalool.
Uses: Relieve pains, antiseptic, helps to surmount depression, relaxe, deodorant, anti-spasmodic, digestive, sedative and tonic.
Recommendations: Lack of appetite, slow digestion, flatulences, acts on the constipation. Nervousness and sleeplessness. Acne, eczema, pruritus and wounds. Digestive, tonic in weak dose, soothing and sedative in higher dose.
Action on the psyche: Bergamot is a reinvigorating, soothing and balancing oil. It is a natural anti-depressant. Its main action is on nervous system. It clears the mind of anxious thoughts and helps to give mental clarity. It instantly lifts the spirits and induces a feeling of wellbeing. People can build self confidence, calm and balance instability. It is necessary to know also that it is an oil which regulates the appetite.
