	Common name: Tropical Basil Latin name: Ocimum basilicum Origin: Madagascar Distilled part: Flowery part Botanical family: Lamiaceae Main constituents: Methylchavicol, methyleugenol, cineol, trans beta bergamotene In cookery: you can flavor yourself your olive oil by adding 20 drops of basil essential oil for a half-liter of oil. You will use it then in seasoning of your salads, on pastas, or in your recipes... Our advice: Add 2 to 3 drops, according to the recipe, at the end of cooking of your culinary preparations. Generally, count 1 drop by portion (person) or 2 drops for flavor.
