Latin name: Satureïa montana
Origin: Albania
Distilled part: Heading parts
Botanical family: Lamiaceae
Main constituents: Carvacrol, thymol, countered cymene, γ geraniol, linalol terpinene, limonene.
Uses: Antiseptic, tonic of the small pelvis, anti-infectious. Facilitates the digestion, and prevents intestinal fermentations.
In Cookery:
Add 2 to 3 drops, according to the recipe, at the end of cooking of your culinary preparations.

Generally, count 1 drop by portion (person) or 2 drops for more steady flavors.

In the form of essential oil, the concentration is such as the aromatic notes are more complex, the flavor is denser, more colored. A drop added in a dish gives a tasting which flies away, the flavor of the essential oil modulates as the preparation is cold or warm, it is growing and opens more olfactive doors.
Cinnamon, savory of mountains or ginger essential oil asks a little more experience, this essential oil being very strong, they ask for attention and for mastery of the dosages.
