Latin name: Cinnamomum Camphora
Origin: Madagascar
Distilled part: Leaves and twigs
Botanical family: Lauraceae
Main constituents: Cinéol 1.8, sabinene, alpha terpineol, alpha pinene.
Uses: antiviral, most extra of the bactericidal, anti-infectious, expectorant, neurotonic. Excellent tonic of the respiratory tracts.
Recommendations: Flu, sinusitis, bronchitis, cold. Cold sores. Neuromuscular problems. Stimulates the defences of the body. Sleeplessness. General asthenia, viral infections, improves sleep.
Action on the psyche: Ravintsara is energizing, it's an excellent oil of convalescence and in case of big physical or psychic fatigue.
User manual: Bath, massage, friction, diffusion, unction.
Contra-indications: This oil should not be used by the pregnant women, those who breast-feed and to the children of less than 5 years.
